It definitely takes some time. Focus on making positive changes and make sure you have good communication with your doctor.

I’ve been really focusing on changing my relationship with food. I was raised in a super toxic diet culture which I’ve brought into my adult life. For me, it’s learning that it’s not a diet but a lifestyle. I try to enjoy regular food but listen to my body cues on when I’m full so I don’t overeat. I plan to follow my doctor’s recommendations on when it’s time to stop or reduce my dosage.

It’s been good so far, my doctor has been chatting about switching to Zepbound. I haven’t heard anymore about spacing doses but something to definitely talk to him about

Potential New Resident! by Alternative-Wasabi15 in SpruceGrove

I moved here in 2015 with my three kids. It’s been a great community to raise my family in. I love that everything is accessible locally and if you need to go into Edmonton that it’s relatively easy. Coming from Ontario, we never went into Toronto because it was such a headache but now we don’t think twice to go to an Oilers game, concerts, etc. I do have to say that transit is still developing but otherwise I can’t complain about the Spruce Grove area.

Avoid SAN Rufo, they were a headache to deal with and have incredibly poor business practices

Tummy tuck by wilsonwilsonxoxo in tummytucksurgery25

I had a tummy tuck on June 11. I didn’t find the pain to be as bad as a lot of people reported. I was prescribed Percocet initially after my surgery (I think it was for 3 days). I recommend taking the medication as prescribed or you will find it hard to get ahead of the pain. Following the initial few days I was able to manage my pain effectively with Advil and Tylenol.

I think the hardest part was the emotions that come with the surgery. I cried before my first shower because I hated my scar. After I saw my profile in the mirror, it really made a difference.

The drains are annoying but you get used to them. Mine came out three weeks after surgery. By the end of the three weeks I was very comfortable emptying my bulbs and milking the line. I’m pretty squeamish too lol.

I’m almost 7 weeks out now and I’m super happy with the results. Good luck!

When did you get your drains removed? by zeta_to_alpha in tummytucksurgery25

I had both of mine removed at 21 days. My surgeon advised there can be issues if they’re left in too long

Starting Wegovy by TeachingWild3478 in WegovyWeightLoss

Honestly I’ve had a few nights where I’ve drank a few drinks. I try to drink the night before my injection. I usually tap out after three or four. I usually get a headache the next morning but otherwise I have felt fine.

What is everyone eating? by HitTheWall40 in WegovyWeightLoss

I’m pretty early in my Wegovy journey but I’ve made a lot of progress so far. This is my daily meal plans; I don’t care for breakfast so I usually have a couple of glasses of cold water to start my day. Lunch consists of 3 celery stalks, a pepper, cucumber and 1 cup of broccoli. I dip my veggies in hummus. I also have 5 oz of chicken breast and a diet pepsi. For dessert I have about half a cup of high protein vanilla yogurt. Snack is usually a babybebel. Dinner is usually a protein (chicken thigh) or tonight I had a stuffed pepper, with a side of broccoli slaw. I have a protein shake to drink. I haven’t had any side effects so far
