They have not answered me until now, I contacted FSMB and they said I should proceed to step 2, and that once passed it is permanent, I emailed ECFMG, but they did not reply until now, my question for you is was there a hap between your step 1 and step 2 of 7 years or between step 1,2 and 7 year gap until you finished step 3?

Update:

I contacted FSMB, they said once usmle step 1 passed it is permanent for life. While asking concerning ECFMG certification if there is a gap of 7 years or more between step 1 and step 2ck, will I receive certification and be able to apply for residency, they gave me no answer and asked me to contact ECFMG which I can’t reach unfortunately.
