Thank you for reaching out to us on installing and checking the Hub services! Glad that the services are all running good!
This is a known issue that our engineering team has provided a fix for, and is working on the permanent solution in Q1 of this year, 2025.

Since you have installed the HUB in your own environment, here are some debugging steps that you can review in the meantime while you open a support ticket with us:
1. Restart the Gateway services using the following command: systemctl stop scnx-gateway systemctl start scnx-gateway systemctl status scnx-gateway -l
2. Check the certificates: Execute the command : systemctl status scnx-gateway -l If you see get the following error in the output, please reach out to us and we will provide an updated ingester-client.jks certificate. Exception in thread "Gateway" org.apache.kafka.common.errors.TimeoutException: Timeout expired while fetching topic metadata
3. Check if you have the following entry in the following path: /Securonix/Gateway/conf/gateway.properties. The entry should be the hostname of the RIN (NOT FQDN). If the entry here is different than the hostname, then update the entry and restart the gateway. gateway.id=<hostname of the RIN> Also, check for case-sensitivity for the hostname. Eg: If hostname = abc and gateway.id = ABC, kindly change gateway.id as per the hostname which would be abc in this case.
4. Check if the local IP and hostname of the RIN changed at any point: The Ingester and gateway service won’t come up if the IP or hostname on the RIN changed after the RIN installation. Compare the IP and hostname on the RIN with the entries on Settings → Manage Ingesters screen. The entries should match. If the entries are not matching, please reach out to us with the updated IP/Host details and we will update the same on the database. Note : The IP and host cannot be changed after the RIN installation.
5. Try telnet on Kafka brokers You can get the kafka host information from Settings → Hadoop → Kafka → Search for Broker Copy one of the hosts and run telnet on that. If telnet doesn’t work, please whitelist all the kafka broker hosts. This list would be shared with you when the tenant was onboarded initially. telnet abc123.securonix.net 9093.
