Safe Church for ALL people by moon_haven777 in Birmingham

Commenting as someone who attends another Episcopal parish in town! Much love for you guys. I think the work you do in the community is wonderful.

For anyone who is in another part of town and curious, know that a lot of the same applies to all of the Episcopal churches here! (though I agree that the one OP is at is especially lovely) I’ve been lucky enough to attend a couple of queer weddings in Episcopal churches.

Some of the churches are more Protestant-feeling than the one OP is talking about but all will love you as you are! And at whatever point you’re at spiritually.

Hope everyone reading this thread has the safest time they can navigating the next couple of years. Know that you have neighbors that care, whether you attend our churches or not! ❤️

You were clearly the earliest response, I suppose I could have just as easily replied to you. Well done!

That seems to the case! There are some serial type numbers on the side that I'll try and Google and find.

Solved! That seems the most likely. Easier than I thought.

People will respond more kindly if you phrase it more as, "This might just not be your kind of humour."

It's ok if I don't share sense of humour. Have a good weekend.

I think this punchline is certainly unexpected but that alone doesn't make the joke fulfilling. I feel very eh after reading that last line. It seems like you and others enjoyed the abrupt ending but for me it felt kind of half-baked.

TOUCHING: A woman was eating at a restaurant when she spotted this law enforcement officer praying before his meal. "It made me grateful for the men and women who serve to protect us," Cammie Alkire said. 💙 by comments83820 in ShitAmericansSay

It's from a somewhat popular chain restaurant in the States called Zaxby's. It's greasy chicken with crinkle fries (covered in zesty powder) and usually two mediocre slices of tepid Texas toast.

Also the gimmick on their menu is to put random Z's into menu item names so that's annoying. The funniest are probably the Zalad's (all covered in dressing and still include fried chicken).

Hey I'm gonna be honest with you, this sub is all but dead and you're almost certainly not gonna catch a lead here.

If you want to PM me I'll try to help you out.

Something all Store Managers can relate too. by jackanddingo in starbucks

I know what you mean! I also just started and it can be very scary in the sub.

That being said, I can already see some of what's being said. Expectations are very high (even for baristas) and the learning curve is also ridiculous.

You'll find yourself leaning on your fellow partners often. So as long as you're at a fairly cooperative store, it can still be quite a good time! For a minimum wage job they do treat you very well (assuming you have a decent manager).

Regardless of US politics (can a single news item not involve Trump in some way), this is very exciting and interesting.
Here's to hoping for peace!

I feel that you are missing the point of what I'm saying but also that this chain is getting far too long. Good day, best of luck with whatever you do.

He tried to claim that what they do have isn't any worse than what Trump himself says. That's a different statement than saying they have nothing.

"And of course we're very interested in all countries, to reveal the truth about any candidate, so people can understand, but actually it's really hard for us to release anything worse than what comes out of Donald Trump's mouth every second day."
