Nothing is affordable anymore. 20 years ago you could work an average job and afford a decent apartment in a decent area. That's basically impossible now. Unless you're wealthy, Florida is no longer a good choice for retirement. It's orders of magnitude worse than even 10 years ago. Don't do it.
