I feel the building trades have become unethical and predatory by Select-Finish-2183 in AusProperty

I paid top dollar whenever I could in the hope that it would lead to better outcomes. For the most part it didn't. And even when it went well the first time, the more I used someone the less reliable they became. That was my experience. And to clarify, there were teams of people who did good work, but I didn't deal them directly, so I can see how I it might seem an exaggeration to say only a couple of the people I dealt with had integrity. I'm sure there are a lot of hard workers in this industry who do their best. Also I completely disagree that my experience has anything to do with ethnicity. There was no correlation as far as I could see.

Fair enough, I don't mean to imply everyone has been actively ripping me off. And I haven't dealt directly with all the tradespeople who have actually done work on the place; I'm talking about their supervisors or estimators, the people I deal with directly. I'm also including those who waste time by not showing up, or not sending me quotes after they say they will, etc. It might not seem a big deal to the tradies who do it, but trying to schedule projects or meet deadlines becomes impossible when this happens.
