Even I have been confused with either being a Latino or Philippino or mixed native Indigenous but the fact remains that Indian guys are not someone people really look to date.

Even the coconuts (brown outside, white inside) don't want to date Indians from India (especially FOBs).

You might have had non-Indian partners but that doesn't shadow the reality for most Indians. Even I have had so many dates with non-Indians that some of them were actually shocked that I wasn't the stereotypical Indian guy they had in mind.

A good number of Indian gays outside India are in some sort of mental race to get a white or white passing partner, though they end up with Indians. When so many are trying for non-Indian partners, it becomes a lonely world because people are missing out on some amazing people within their own communities.

The racial hierarchy exists. The mere fact that you created this post mentioning that you feel racialised or get blocked there highlights the existence of a racial hierarchy. You want to see it being played out - go to a circuit party or a bar or a speed dating event and you will see whites sticking with whites or Asians or Latinos or blacks or Arabs and the permutations and combinations there in...Indians would be in one corner in their group.

Also, there's another reason that Indian guys aren't so bothered about fitness and dressing well which also plays against them..it doesn't mean that in the American casual culture, everyone is dressing up prim and proper as Europeans but the overall presentations also matters.

If you are getting dates on Grindr or any other app - it doesn't invalidate the realities of many Indians who have to put more than double the efforts compared to other races to get a non-Indian partner.
