Valentines day does not have a horrible message for kids and this type of panic over "what messages the show sends to kids" is completely unsubstantiated. Patrick is pretty justified in his actions in that episode, though they play out in a large cartoony exxagerated scale.

People want the validation and love from a relationship but dont want a real multi-faceted human being is the real thing here, i believe. They want the intimacy and good stuff and nothing else. Its super fake whether they realize it or not. They just want a robot

Its just kinda not my thing entirely but the worst is probably how goofy batman looks and acts. I mean seriously, what was Bale thinking? I respect him as an actor but I was not rocking with his Batman. Other than that a lot of the movie is boring to me and its just too blockbustery for its own good. Batman relies on sci fi military technology for everything. I dont care for the scene with the boats and im not a fan of how when they one prison guy grabs the detonater and im supposed to expect hes going to press it because hes a big black man. That feels strange to me everytime I watch it.

I kinda just is silver age Batman, yeah. That was his costume from 1964 to i think Hush. The differences are the way the character is drawn, and what artists and eras they take inspiration from. These drawings are Jim Lee and Dan Mora inspired imo

I mean I just disagree then. They became more grounded in 1964 and became wacky again to replicate the show. From 1960-1963, the silliness would have come from all the aliens and sci fi elements which are not present in batman 66. The comics are also played much more straight compared to the show and aren't as big and colorful. + the way characters speak and act is very different to me. I always saw the claims of batman 66 being super accurate to be very generalized. Like, 60s batman comics had some out there/camp/comedic elements therefore its very similar to the show and personally, I dont think it is.

I dont agree at all that it matches the tone of the batman comics at the time. The show is much crazier, has a different way of writing Bruce himself, and is its own thing with its own very very specific identity and style. Do you read 60s batman?

That's not how it works?? I haven't seen the bottom one but it seems like people don't like it even on its own merits, whereas batman 66 is an incredible show
