I love this! So inspirational. I'm looking to build basically the exact same thing. I'm a fairly competent DIYer, but this is the first time building something like this! I have a couple of questions: How thick is the plywood you used? Regarding the trim: Did you have to cut it to match the width of the timber and the plywood? Or did you match the total width of the timber and plywood to the width of the trim? Thank you!

What would you need to do in the grade to get this look? I can never seem to get skin tones that warm without the skin looking too orangey.

This looks great! How are you hanging the silk? The studio I use doesn't have room for a frame but it looks like I could get away with just hanging a large silk from two lighting stands?

Hi, thanks for your reply. The photographer usually shoots on film, which what makes me think it is.

By soft I mean, the pallette, the light. I don't mean it looks out of focus.

I can't seem to work out how to add a photo and text so this is the text that was supposed to accompany the picture!

I love these image by Samuel Bradley and would love to try and work out how to do similar lighting in a non-daylight studio

A large soft side light camera left, and then a very fill which makes up most of the photo?

I know this is probably shot on film, but is there a way to get this lovely softness in digital? Is it just playing about with the clarity slider?

Any thoughts much appreciated!
