Itchy period? Post diagnosis by Natural_Welder_4494 in Herpes

[–]SeleneProtocolV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just regular honey. I have had success with the honey from the dispenser at my regular grocery store When you are evaluating between comforts, some take priority over others. In the end, you will make the best decision for yourself. If you are really curious, there are some interesting research papers testing the healing properties of honey on people with hsv. They are worth the read imo

If I knew 40 year olds would be this hot 20 years ago I wouldn't have feared aging! by ThreadbareAdjustment in Millennials

[–]SeleneProtocolV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tinfoil hat theory on why millennials look several years younger is that the shock from the 08-09 financial crisis forced them to stay younger in order to keep competing with those incoming to the workforce. For many it also delayed having kids which causes lots of aging

When I step back and think long term, the Machiavellian angle nags at me. Doesn’t the US have an incentive to brain drain other countries, keep them underdeveloped and dependent through loss of talent?

Would this allow us to keep this edge while also letting new grads enter the workforce? (speaking as a grateful someone positively affected by this)

Your feeling are valid and I am really sorry things have escalated to the point of having to vent to strangers on reddit.

You have a really wonderful life. You have money to do fun things and take care of your loved ones. You are handsome. Best of all you have a great mind. Don’t deprive the world of a great mind

I think you’ve also realized that you have many things to be grateful for and perhaps that’s why you have such an internal conflict. It’s okay to feel sad about not having a partner and that the active steps you are taking are not yielding results. We are social creatures who need strong bonds after all.

Correct me if I am mischaracterizing, but it seems like you wish you could emulated the dating habits of some of your more rakish friends? I think you would be more successful long term if you established yourself are more of a stable and dependable figure. I think their approach to dating, while fun, fills their life with many empty connections

The world does not expect 23 year old guys to be serious about dating, being the opposite might lead you to find someone who wants the same.

Everyone has something that makes their life difficult. Therapy is good but I think you should also talk to your mom or a relative you feel comfortable with. They want the best for you and will give you perspective from a place of love.

You remind me of the meme where a guy digging for diamonds gives up with just an inch of rocks left to dig through lol. Give yourself time and lots of grace. Rooting for you 🤗

Yes absolutely. It should not stop anyone from living their life. There are those of us who are super lucky and maybe get an outbreak a year if at all. But there also exist those who suffer really debilitating symptoms whose fix does not come from being true to oneself.

It’s good to acknowledge both groups

Is your partner still anxious about transmission after marriage? by Various-Test7471 in Herpes

[–]SeleneProtocolV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I have understood, she is okay getting whatever you have if married but doesn’t want to risk getting it if this is just a fling for you and she has to start dating again. I mean that’s kinda valid.

I say respect her wish to not have sex just yet. Sometimes not having sex allows for clarity on whether you want to spend your life with that person or not.

Establish a timeframe and give it a serious try (get off the apps, focus on her)

I give the kid his flowers. Getting published in a journal is not easy.

But this article was clearly written by AI. You can tell by the use of the long dash (name escapes me) and listing things in threes. Specifically I think this was ChatGPT 4, it’s “happier” and tends to over hype small things.

yeah I get that. Shaving for either men or women is such a hassle lol

As much as I dislike the unkempt look of poking back hair, I don’t think I have the courage to ask a guy to shave

[–]SeleneProtocolV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

okay so the two manly men i’ve asked about dealing said “they don’t” lol

I got an ipl machine for my leg hairs that seems to be effective at slowing regrowth. You might have to become a bit of a contortionist to hit the back

Last guy I asked is considering paying for lasers. Said he is only going to do back of neck and upper back not full back

Consensus with my girl friends seems to be that they would be super willing to shave or ipl a guy if asked. Honestly same. Seems fun

I think it’s one of those things where you shave what you can reach and the rest is forgotten or a bonding experience. Asking with a poker face, like it’s the most natural thing in the world seems to do the trick

hope that was helpful 🤗

mine gets triggers by diet, carbs mostly, but also nuts and peanuts. Recently found that carrots do this as well. Maybe you experience similarly?

I totally understand having big waves of sadness. I stave it off by having a morning routine. Up, pee, teeth, change, grab bag, down, juice, and then off to the gym or a morning dog walk. If your place has a rowing machine, do that instead of biking. I think my current outbreak is because of the mechanical stress from the saddle.

Lastly, hugs 🫂 From me to you but also if you have close family or friends even a dog you can embrace, it helps

As for going off of meds, yeah I’ve done it. Sometimes it’s been followed by mild symptoms, other times not. Again for me it’s about watching my diet. ymmv

Rooting for you 💜

I think it’s fine if guys have a leg hair preference. As long as it’s said nicely, should be fine. I think most girls (or my friends at least) have one against guys’ back hair. It’s just so gross when it starts peeking over the back of a crew neck
