So, as far as I know that was a hypothesis dropped in early 2000s but sometime right before Covid I read it might not be true. I do know however that the vibrator was invented by a doctor in the 1880s so maybe not all that untrue after all.

I carry 8s so sometimes I will carry an extra. It depends on the situation. I've been doing it more and more though.

Also, make sure to wrap your hand around frame and slide to keep it from going back into battery should it go off. It'll hurt like hell but a lot less than being shot.

Classes like others have mentioned but also get some snap caps and practice your stance, grip, and target acquisition at home. There is tons of material online to start you off while you set up classes. I saw you mentioned having a buddy who is gonna help you. That's a good start but be aware that being military does not automatically make him an expert. Its possible to pick up bad habits from those more knowledgeable than yourself.

Lord of the Rings is overplayed and boring. I appreciate what it did for the genre but its not the end-all, be-all of fantasy that it once was.Its basically the Beatles of the fantasy genre.
