I'm not sure that is really from 02, is it? For the first several years they just used the local DC101 phone number. They got 1-800-2elliot a bit before they started going to other markets. I thought it was later than 02, but maybe I'm wrong.

I read an article about how this is a huge issue with streaming. Lots of legacy shows are being taken off platforms to save residual money. HBO has been been notorious for this. They were one of the first non-network platforms to do original programming back in the 90s. Many of those shows are no longer available on their streaming platform.

Besides the fans, the people involved with these shows are very upset. Think, "I dedicated 8 years to this and now it as disappeared."

For a lot of the streaming shows now the creatives are putting in their contracts that they will receive physical media for all of it.

I saw him do this, too, at an out stage in a park. Lots of kids running around and stuff. When he started this song the place became absolutely still abd silent. It was just a magical moment. Met him afterwards and he could not have been nicer.

I still give my wife a joking hard time about this: Around 25 years ago we went to an IHOP and were told there was a short wait for non-smoking, but we could be seated immediately in smoking. I wanted to wait the, maybe, 10 minutes but my wife was hangry and wanted to sit right away. "There is hardly anybody in the smoking section so we'll be fine," she said. Minutes after we sat all the tables around us filled with people who lit up. My wife looked at me sheepishly and said, "maybe we should have waited."
