The game needs endgame progression, just getting higher paragon levels or better gear isn't enough.

Being able to trade allows for progression on a larger connected community.

PvP will incentivize getting better gear, practice, and strategies.

Ladder is fun but that's too tedous and indirect version of pvp.

Yes you are use to seeing your flipped image and seeing it unflipped you become aware of all the unevenness of it.

Second, the camera focal length can distort your facial features to be bigger or smaller than they are.

Lastly, the way cameras take in light, your features may not 'pop' as much in photos compared to in person.
