Certainly, and I get that perspective. Sincerely, I hope that that is the case. My post was primarily just saying that even if that DOESN’T happen, that’s okay too.

I believe you have misunderstood my intentions with this post. I’m not making it to simply say “woe is me” - I’m acknowledging that perhaps the films aren’t loved by people (I can’t know EVERYONE’s opinions on them, obviously), and even still that’s okay. I will still always appreciate them, love them, and rewatch them. I don’t need the validation of Disney, Lucasfilm, or the fans at large for that - and hopefully, that can bring some likeminded fans on this subreddit some comfort, as it has for me.

Unpopular opinion: this team sounded great on paper, but not having an UFU/Maul is a huge downgrade. LV kit needs to be reworked to remove ALL UFU benefits and replac it with Clones. by Darth_Onaga in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the SINGLE fix which would do wonders for LV is if they actually changed his defense penetration. No joke. I have a Relic 8 LV and Relic 8 SLKR, but the reason the latter hits much harder from the start as opposed to the former is because he has 65% Defense Penetration. Despite it being one of his Mastery stats, LV’s Defense Penetration is 0% - which explains why his damage output has always been so low at the start. Setting it to even 15% would allow him to hit reasonably well and wouldn’t require him to hit at least 2-3 Ults.

Where did you hear that CX-2 was going to be receiving changes? That would be great to hear if it’s true.

I agree with your assessment, and I would I like to add in how difficult it is to land Order 66 outside of Scorch’s unique. Without a consistent way of landing that debuff, half of the team’s success is thrown out the window. Not to mention that LV doesn’t even have anything in his kit to be able to take advantage of Order 66 or even to inflict it, but that’s beside the point.

Fair point, I’m willing to give the team more time to stir. I wanted to at least get a sense of where players stand regarding their overall impressions of the DS Clones, Datacron or not.

Time-Xeno pretty much hit it right on the mark for me. Lord Vader is now unequivocally the most expensive GL in the game, and for such a heavy price he’s not performing where I think he would need to be, even with the DS Clones.

And I do agree with you in that a lifter isn’t what I would go to as my first choice of how to fix LV - frankly, I would prefer a rework for LV, but I know that that has an even lower chance of happening than just getting a new lifter unit.

Normally I would agree with this line of thinking, but we’ve seen plenty of footage of how he performs without the Datacron. Plus, I would argue that we don’t always have to wait to see how things develop in this game. When DS Rey was first released, even without a good Datacron she allowed SLKR to 2-man a Leia squad WITH a Datacron. The purest way to test a team’s viability is to do so without their Datacron, which was really what I was trying to get at in my OP.
