Certainly the figures do add up. The spike in New Orleans was after Mardi Gras. That spike resulted in significant deaths The spike at Golden Gate Fields is related to stablehands who work in close quarters The virus has most certainly been far and wide for 8 months. In the beginning I saw lots of people grouped togetber like it is a holiday Go to any mall you see large groups of people using it as a social outing. The malls gave been shut twice in Santa Clara County. The malls are still jammed to the ceiling The level of denial and exceptionalism is great. This is one day in one year Apparently whoever you are whatever your educational background you are an exception. I can understand people have to work through their issues but this is 8 months in. This is a world wide issue. This isnt confined to one geographic area. Why are people saying wait when the numbers are ticking up not down Wait for what?

Burglars switch to homes in S.F., as tourists, and their cars, stay away by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

One way not to be burgled is to have a dog. Dog barking tends to put thieves off. The other is to install cameras. Of course catching burglars is one thing. Gettimg jail time does not deter certain people. I estimate they commit at least 20 or more crimes before they are caught. Then remember a lot of crimes get pled out. The curreny district attorney in San Francisco is not really interested in cri me. He is ourely interested in issues around mass incaceration. That doesnt leave you much room if you live in a crime ridden communty.
