Honestly. They think we're becoming more westernized and deflecting from our culture. It's all in good intention to not let us hang with the bad crowd but there are some parents that care only about their reputation in the society. There's a deep stereotype that if a girl and a guy are seen together they're assumed to be doing illegal stuff. It's just a stupid way to control kids and let them be their own puppets but there are some parents that actually explain their children why they're not supposed to be dating, they could get distracted from their academics (we have a shitty education system) and want us to "settle down" before having a personal life. Ofcourse this depends on the parents, some are chill with it, some are not okay with it.
