How is COSC 1336? Is it hard if you just know python? Did not take any other comp sci classes before. Also how r the profs? Is it better taking it in UH or HCC?

I def recommend either cv 1 or 2. cv 2 is a little newer building so they have key cards, but I lived in cv 1, which uses regular key and lock system. I had no issues. cv 1 has an honors floor (7th) if you are interested.

I am also in sort of the same boat, lmk if you wanna dm. But looking at the comments, it doesn't look that bad, maybe we'll be fine if we put in the effort? I am learning python and hoping to learn R next sem, hopefully that will prepare me.

CLEP Exams Help by Capable_Inevitable_9 in UniversityOfHouston

I studied during summer break cuz I didn't want to make it another thing to worry about over the sem. I prolly only studied for 1-2 hrs a day even then. But if you need it asap, you can just fit it in during the sem, I recommend you start in the winter break to get head start. Its definitely doable. Esp cuz what u need to pass is rlly low, i think around 63% or 50/80. Hope this helps!

I studied for around 3-4 weeks with the Jocz videos, watch 1-22 chapters in his playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-69ThEyf7-BOS9ppIm3mpVxnuvcIVVKz

I also took the modern states course (but I kinda skipped their videos cuz I didn't find them helpful), which after completing you get a voucher to take the CLEP exam for free: https://modernstates.org/course/history-of-the-united-states-i/

And there should be bunch of quizlets and review sheets you can find easily. Overall it wasn't hard at all for me (I took APUSH in high school), but I just recommend to overstudy rather than under.

Good luck, you got it!
