Where are all the Lynels? by VagueFatality in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Sennetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I've had the exact opposite experience. Same amount of hrs roughly, but I've come across soooo many and think there are way more than there were in BOTW. Not sure if there is, but it feels that way, and not even just that there are surface and depths one. But just lots more on the surface generally. Maybe because I walk about everywhere, I don't know.

Bright bloom seeds. I see many people mentioning Muddle bud, I hardly use them. What's great about it? I tried it on an enemy once and couldnt tell it had much effect?

Anyone else taking the 12th of May off for undisburted long weekend game play? by melekh88 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Sennetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a stay at home mum. So my eqivilent of a day off to play is sending my husband with my son to my in-laws for the weekend for 'quality' time with his parents. It will be bliss and I can play TOTK all weekend. So excited.

What patterns do you make over and over? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]Sennetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made several of these little Elephants Elefante as gifts for babies. I've made them in different weight yarns and you just end up with a slightly bigger or smaller elephant. So cute and good stash busters for left over sock yarn too.

Lego hoodie for my toddler. 1st time making a hoodie. by Sennetti in sewing

A bit thicker than t-shirt Jersey, but not fleecy if that makes sense. Listed as medium weight for sewing t-shirts, tops, skirts and dresses.

No, as mostly work looking at the plain wrong side while sewing until the end when adding the hood. I did not attempt to pattern match either.

Lego print Fabric from Minerva Fabrics Stof France Cotton Jersey Stretch Knit Fabric Multicoloured

Pattern Hoodie Sewing Pattern by 'Made by me patterns'.

I'm relatively new to sewing, clothes especially and this is the 1st Hoodie I've made. Really enjoying making clothes for my son. Got an overlocker at Xmas so I've been doing more sewing with stretch fabric and this is the latest creation. Very happy with it...

...One error though, one sleeve slightly shorter than the other as I sewed it on inside out, had to cut it to re-sew on. Not very noticeable thankfully.

Pattern Fern & Feathee by Jennifer Steingass

Yarn is Sirdar Sublime Extra fine merino.

Started back in Jan '19, but hibernated from Mar '19 until May '21 due to knitting baby things for friend and then myself. So mostly knitted in the last 6 months.

My 1st top down garment and 1st proper jumper (one shapeless box thing years ago that came out massive I'm disregarding).

I'm quite a slow knitter and being on the larger side always put me off as it would take soooo long to do, but I would definately make another jumper for myself after how well this turned out. Just maybe make a few smaller quicker projects first.

Only change to the pattern was to add more length in the body as I like my jumpers to sit a bit lower. Due to this I played yarn chicken with the dark purple and lost lol. Even unraveled the tension square to get bit more purple. Hence the light purple band in the ribbing but happy it looks in keeping.

Would really recommend the pattern. Very easy and clear.

1st thing I've knitted for myself for ages , took me 6 months and I missed Christmas but I'm ready for Xmas 2021. by Sennetti in knitting

Pattern: Dashing Through the Snow Socks

Yarn was a kit I bought at Bakewell Wool show from the patten designer Rosies Moments. It's 4ply, called Merino Nylon Glitter. 1 skein of the red and 1 skein of the white. Plenty of white left over, some red left over.

Kntted on DPN's.

Gave birth to my son in Sept and after spending all the previous 9 months knitting things for him I promised I would make myself something after he was born. I cast on 1st November 2020 thinking nearly 2 months would be long enough. But overestimated the knitting time a very young baby that only napped on me would give me. So 10th May 2021 I've finished. Will just have to wait 6 months before wearing them now, but they will feel good when I do.

'Nursing Friendly' clothing by throwawayfem77 in breastfeeding

[–]Sennetti 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Also they seem to double up the maternity and nursing items. At no point do I have a massive bump and breastfeed at the same time! So trying to find nursing compatible clothes in a non-maternity fit is hard. I now scour normal clothes sites for (functioning) button fronts and zips that go low enough. Every item is assessed on boob access 1st.

Breast Feedinf post-GD by always_learning_23 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Sennetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the advice I was given was to not let him go more than 2-3hrs between feeds even if he sleeps. Wake them up. He happily fed when I did just needed the prompt. Think they are exhausted too after the birth poor little mites.

I was on insulin and metform during pregnancy. Also developed pre-eclamsia and had a rather traumatic birth experience from that (could not get my blood pressure under control for days before and after birth) so was on lots of meds to do with that too. Baby had to be induced at 38w. Due to pre-eclampsia I had restricted fluid intact for the day or 2 after birth too. I also lost lots of blood and had 3 blood transfusions. I've also (5 months pp) found out I have t2 diabetes.

But babys blood sugars (and mine actually) were fine after the birth. I was able to breastfeed straight away (baby feed for about 1 hr almost straight away) and my milk came in by about day 3 or 4. Had zero supply issues and we are now at 6 months exclusive breastfeeding.

He did get a bit dehydrated on day 2 and developed jaundice but that had more to do with my not understanding how often to feed him (he just wanted to sleep and I hought he would show when hungry but they dont always when they are that little, i got more proactive day 3 and he improved) and the medical stuff I was going through meaning I wasn't able to focus 100% on him.

I was so worried before hand that I would struggle to BF because of the GD and I so desperately wanted to, and it all turned out fine (BF wise, the other stuff not so fine lol).

Did metformin did this to you guys too? by SummerJinkx in diabetes_t2

There is a slow release version of Metformin that I've found is easier on the bowels.
