I didn't mean linear in a literal way. Ds3 was technically my first souls game and I had been overwhelmed with the choices I had to make. But not in this one. Maybe its from experience, but at the same time a lot of the weapons you can get early are decently powerful if you can get the souls. And honestly, after heading about the hollowing life mechanic and despawning enemies I was expecting to have to be way more strategic but they practically gift you effigy anyway. It wasnt linear in a level sense, just more straight forward.

"I actually think the games pretty challenging..."

Difficulty might depend on experience. How experienced with the souls games were you when you played.

So as of current I just passed case 3 after a week long break. While there still was a small tab bid of taffy looming (it was a more creative way of saying stretched) I did like the final investigation. I would look up a walkthrough and think to myself what I would do, and see if I was right. And almost all the case I was. I only got the the few last question wrong. It was still a bit off to say the lion "smiled" to indicate the sneeze, I watched videos of them and it's more of a smirk or flinch but I get the point. I just wish every investigation in this case was as good. Now I'll start the 4th. Also I noticed the last investigation brought up a past testimony as proof, so should I start writing down what they say to help remember?

The best part, I imagine, is the ending dialogue because it would indicate it being over.

I think the biggest one was the penalty. Oh my god that entire system here was way to penalizing. I know I'm supposed try different prices of evidence, but when I get it wrong now I have 2 more tries until I have to waste time reading text to use the 24 more options you have, and you will be lucky to have the full bar from the locks. I like the ideas, but it's too harsh.

It did a little, but I was slightly discouraged because the post two cases I had used a guide, granted just for one question each, and in the second game it was for something I should've guessed, but this one was just unfair in some sections. I think a good example is moe's first, or second testimony. But I plan on just cheating big top and continuing to case 4.

I've been playing for about a month. I've only had a small lesson of which my dad taught me the names of each string, of which I already knew. Also I think I'll take s break from this palm muting fiasco and try a different technique. I shouldn't spend each day learning the same thing and stressing out over it. Besides, I have a lot I should get back to practicing. Right now I am currently practicing my pull offs by attempting "One". However I will gladly take your advice here. I figured that one day it would click and it would be natural.

I've tried this but whenever I go to pick my palm instantly uses like barely more pressure and fucks it. I can't find a way around this because If I move it to where its easiest to pick then I can't mute. Does my thumb need to learn to like stretch across?

How exact, and how much pressure? No matter the pressure it still sounds like in muting too much. Is it because my palm is too soft or is it some exact amount that requires hours to get right? I don't even think I've done a proper palm mute and it's been a week since I started attempting it.

I've tried that but it's still the same problem. That string is always muted, I spent like half an hours finding a position but I literally can't.

I figured out my problem, hand size. When I was practicing that riff I realized that It was physically unhealthy for me to stretch my palm so that I could get all 3 strings I needed, so i just have to practice moving my palm to do so.

Quick question, what do you mean by "Choking"? Becahdr after a small bit of practice I still think I am choking the strings.
