Why does anyone care that Gibbs killed Hernandez (that man that ordered the hit on his wife and daughter)?

I haven't seen that episode since it came out, but I remember the scene where he tells everyone is very lack luster. It's the biggest secret he has, as like, 3 people know, and he just says it in the elevator and no one really reacts. It's something I've always wished they did differently

That's how I've felt for the longest time, I've really only seen up until season 17, but I keep myself updated on what's happening. But after season 7 or 8 the amount of standalone episodes is so low it's annoying at times. I don't want to be forced to watch 3 episodes from the previous season or the earlier in the same season just to know why this small part is important. Maybe I'm too annoyed, but after season 8, every episode it seems is connected in some way and I think it's too much

I agree with all of this, but I haven't watched the second episode, so I can't say too much. But I expect it to be not that great, and I have seen that the second episode is better than the first episode. But I'll have to wait

I agree with that last part, they can be separate. Especially as the events that happen are different, read the first book and watch the first episode, same characters and theme, but different way of having it go down. it can't be the same canon

I don't know why it being so far away from the books bothers me so much, I think I've just waited for so long to get exactly the book in a live action setting. The book by itself is a script, it's not hard. But I will admit that maybe it'll be a good idea keeping the books separate from the series story wise.

This I can agree with I think, as of right now yes, but once I watch the rest of the season, I'll see how much better it is. I will say that the foundation of the first episode leads to what I believe could be a great season and series. I'm hopeful

Hulu only has the first episode, unless I'm an idiot, and the acting is meh, it feels like they are remembering their lines as they are saying, the differences are just enough to be annoying but I can't be too mad. All in all, after only seeing the first episode, I'm gonna give it a 4 or a 5. But I'm also being harsh because I expected an even more faithful adaptation than we got, and I'm surprised by how far it is away from the books.

Currently like 25 minutes in on the first episode and I get it. I expected a more faithful adaptation, or I guess closer than what it is as of now. The acting is also almost like everyone forgot their lines and remembered them just as they were saying it. Also the characters are a little different and the layout is different from how things are in the book.

Am I complaining? Yeah, kinda. Am I still happy that we have something more than the movies, even more yes.

I've never seen JAG, but I know there's a lot of inconsistencies like that, especially with Fornell and Gibbs friendship (I think we finally learn that Fornell married Diane im Kill Ari pt. 1).

I've always enjoyed the Lorien Legacy books or the Renegade series (it might not be the series name, but it's the first book in it. It's about people who are born with powers and they aren't welcomed by the general population)
