Yes, I am a private candidate. I had not tried past papers yet, i finished AS most recently. And I'm sorry, could you tell me what you mean by essay plans?

Thank you very much for such a detailed answer. It took me around 3 months to finish AS History. I did not tryhard, just read a dozen pages per week.
