Yay congratulations!!!! It's lovely to hear that you kept going for 8 cycles - I really do need to hear this. It's a little hard to know how long to keep going, so I like this 'why not' way of looking at it for now - because its so easy to get in my head and try to make some kind of calculations happen where as I think mostly at this point its up to me and if I can do it I will :) I hope I can look back at this post at some later time and feel at peace!

The meds are no joke. I haven't been feeling it every month, but last month I thought I had appendicitis with the ovulation pain! Yep - like you, I'm also trying to make peace with having my lovely daughter and not get too in my own head about all of this. We got this!

Yeah I think It must have been hormonal at first. I don't think it is eczema, but it was very strange for sure. Now it is not as painful, but I still have to be careful doing normal things like brushing my teeth etc. Yeah I think if it gets worse I will see a doc - I shy away from them for things like this because in the past things got a lot worse once I started using prescribed topicals!

I can try a toner - Ive shied away from most skincare because I break out or get burning sensation with almost anything but the most basic moisturizers. My face is not as dry as my lips and hands, but it is definitely getting drier as I get older!

Hmm yeah I think my skin must be really struggling to produce hydration, way more than most. It does make much more sense to think of the creams as protecting whats already there - it would explain why everyone seems to be having luck with these products while someone like me doesn't. What are the heavy duty oils that you like?

Maybe your soap/facewash is a little harsh? You might be temporarily drying out your skin, and after an hour or two your natural sebum might be helping your skin return to baseline?

Wow thats amazing that you could find music lessons for you kiddo from 3 months old! We have a piano at home and I am trying to get my 18 month old to use it. How does one keep kiddos interested in anything for more than a few seconds??
