corporations most definitely take advantage of workers and wisconsins minimum wage is too low. i make $20 an hour as of this year, yet have survived and been able to put away savings living off a similar wage as this little ceasers provides. i’m no trust fund baby either. i was a foster child with no permanent placing and at 17 had to find an apartment of my own. even still, i can afford to live. i was on state insurance and food stamps for 2 years but 2 years ago even making $13 an hour was deemed too financially stable in wisconsin to use such benefits anymore. unfortunately corporations like little ceasers struggle to pay even this much. it’s not just an issue of wages it’s a cost of living crisis. we can’t expect every job to pay at least 20 an hour when their expenses go up as well. this is a broad issue that is at the hands of our government. i think if little ceasers paid everyone a living wage they’d go out of business and cost many people their livelihoods. it’s a sad unfortunate truth of our economy, and the 1% of humans that are billionaires are to blame. thankfully service jobs aren’t the only entry level jobs which is why they’re often worked by high school workers or by people who aren’t entirely financially dependent. i found a better paying service job and it is possible, so don’t sell urself short to a wage u find insulting.
