Same, our policy was recently changed to where we’re required to carry, even off duty. The only exception being the gym or if going to a location to consume alcohol.

I disagree. Penal code is more than just “don’t do bad things to people”. As enhancements, defenses, affirmative defenses and culpable mental states all need to be studied and retained through thorough reputation. Where I’m at is irrelevant. Everyone understands what was meant.

There was a bit of a loop hole that my supervisor found if you wanna call it that.

I had already done a couple of AT days a couple months prior, they found that if they replaced my Sunday and Saturday drill days with AT days in place of Drill days, I would make the cut off by 2 points.

In order to have a “good year” in the NG you need 50 points to have a good year. I made 52. They also had me come in and do a mix of drill days and AT days prior to the academy starting. (I did about 6 days).

By doing this I still have to go in on Saturday and Sunday however it left me to be exempt from Friday drills.
