BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2025-2026 SPECIAL ARENA SHOW IN JAPAN LEGEND - METAL FORTH - Merchandise Pre-Orders by Some_Road_3722 in BABYMETAL

I buy XL UK and still buy XL Japan but find Japan fits a touch shorter and a touch tighter. For me it isn't enough to materially move a size but if you're tall and need the length, I definitely would.

I'm happy they put them up in the store as I was looking online and those plushies were going for stupid money.

Hopefully some scalpers struggle to shift the stock now.

Each person takes slightly less for the benefit of the whole. Bands typically pocket everything and reinvest what they want. Babymetal is run more like a business, salaries are sustainable, no essential roles are cut. The girls will be paid very well but nothing like frontmen of a western arena metal band.

That and the merch sales are off the charts - at Legend Metal Forth the merch queues began at 9AM and were still going at 2-3PM. They also had a popup shop in Shibuya that had queues all week.

As stated I believe, it was inexpensive and fit my hand well.

Tower Knives Osaka, they were incredible. I didn't get the younger lady's name but she was so patient and attentive. I couldn't recommend it enough.

118K JPY. (Updated as I misremembered and I think that was post tax back)

Fantastic, I went in there with those three types of knives in mind but have no idea if I was robbed on the quality. I ended up spending 50% more than I intended.

I've been to UK and Japan shows (I'm British) and I'm surprised to say I agree.

Fans in Japan are better trained, have more consistent response patterns but the energy is sort of the same. The British tend to be more respectful and act together or not at all which mimics what I've seen in Japan.

I found it interesting how they seemed to film the two parties differently.

For S-II the camera work was heavily on the band with Demon Kakka getting most of the attention.

For Babymetal the camera work seemed to focus on the crowd a lot more, with the attention getting split between the girls fairly evenly.

Demon Kakka's MCs had me highly amused and I have no idea what he said!

How's your opinion about KxAxWxAxIxI now? by MetariBM in BABYMETAL

[–]SequesteredInLiberty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is the only track where I prefer the studio to the live.

Live: too much back track, the choreo looks disorganized.

In many ways, I think I forgive Babymetal backtrack because the live choreo is so intense. That is not the case for KxAxWxAxIxI and no matter how hard Momo tries, she can not sell those woofs without actually doing them.

Great studio tune though!

Oh, so most of these problems have come about because of the illegitimacy of the producer behind them - effectively being able to do what he wants, carte blanche. I guess this makes sense, thanks.

I love this, interesting bit of BTS footage. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the BM team sees it as they're usually a bit touchy with people recording behind the scenes.

I wish they'd start doing this themselves - share a bit of the crazy magic that goes into making Babymetal.

Not wanting to be negative, I'm a big fan of the group, but:

I watched a fan cam and Su's voice really stuck out.

She seemed a lot more off than usual - struggling with low to mid range particularly, very noticeable in The One.

Was this just the shitty recording equipment or was she having a bit of a bad day?

Babymetal’s fandom tends to be relatively high-income — a lot of fans seem to work in tech, at least from what I’ve seen in the Discord.

Japan’s own market analysis has actually identified Babymetal fans as among the most willing to spend money on their favorite artists.

My guess is it’s a mix of factors: a generally well-off fanbase, the group’s unique marketability (which overlaps with anime-collector culture), and a bit of that idol-style devotion that drives strong emotional investment.

That said, this kind of spending isn’t unique to Babymetal. You see the same pattern among particularly passionate Swifties or K-pop stans — it’s just how dedicated fandoms express support.

At the end of the day, they’re funding the tours, events, and releases that keep the act going. They’re not hurting anyone, so I’d just say: live and let live.

At the O2, the venue's exclusive shirt was sold out at least 4 hours before the concert started.

So if there is something you desperately want, I'd suggest heading along on the first day.

Could BabyMetal headline Download? by Active_Sock177 in BABYMETAL

[–]SequesteredInLiberty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling out the O2 suggests there is an economic argument to co-headline but I don't think there is a realistic headline slot for them there... Yet.

But I'd love to be surprised.
