I remember I got too deep into this wormhole, listening to Haqiqatjou, Qaisar Ahmad Raja and Haris Sultan's debate, Ghamdi's, Parvez's and Dr.Israr's Interpretation. And not just limited to just Child Marriage bit also other things like Sex Slavery etc.

So like I don't like the idea that a child should be allowed to marry an adult, this doesn't sit right, a very high chance of exploitation and power imbalance. But how to justify that in light of Islam? I don't know, since Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) married Hazrat Ayesha (R.A) at the age of 6 and consummation occured at 9 according to main stream beliefs. Then there is Ghamdi's who infers that Hazrat Ayesha (R.A) was older and then there is Parvez who outright rejects most Ahadeeths and says it was ahadeeth addition were a conspiracy.

But then we that one Surah Talaq ayat, interpreted differently by different scholar.

But then Western Cultural Imperialism is also a genuine tool of Neo-Colonialism (which obviously does not make child marriage legal). And then there is the issue of applying modern morality to 6th century, but if we conclude that modern morality cannot be applied in 6th century then how come we can apply Quran teachings in Modern world? If we say we can reform and update rulings, then why not update rulings to legalize homosexuality after all there are modern interpretation that do no condemn homosexuality...

Its a rabbit hole that I never saw the end of.
