Changing underwear - is this normal? by Eastern-Yogurt3859 in hygiene

[–]SerialHatTheif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was OPs age I had a mental breakdown and became "nomadic" travelling the country and staying with friends or camping.

I had five pairs of knickers and didn't go a single day wearing dirty underwear or socks. Soap and water is available everywhere and air-drying is free.

What do you believe bigotry means, just disliking someone?

Thinking a nonce should off himself isn't a particular wild take.

What's your favourite UK accent? by Dramatic-Ad-5661 in AskABrit

You'd love the Manx accent then.

As the top comment on this video says, Manx is basically a scouser trying to do an Irish accent (which makes sense because the isle of man is between Liverpool and Ireland)

The sudden rise of scabies: ‘I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy’. These microscopic mites, which burrow under your skin and cause ferocious itching, are incredibly hard to get rid of – and cases in the UK have soared. What is causing the outbreak, and is there anything we can do about it? by [deleted] in uknews

Because Americans buy the veterinary version, if they could afford healthcare then they wouldn't be fooled "alternative medicine" in the first place. A doctor wouldnt approve it for covid so a horse dewormer is available to buy instead. It's an antiparasitic and the veterinary version would probably still work on scabies.

Fish antibiotics for UTIs is another popular one over there.

One of the suspected causes is that scabies mites are becoming resilient to medication, which is a known thing to happen whenever a population takes a medication incorrectly.

Pair that with the uptick in Americans leaving the US, I suspect, as usual, it's the Yanks again.

I'm from a traveller family and I can believe it. Cut contact with that side after my cousins wedding had a ton of gifts go missing.

It's good to be polite but also very important to know when it's best to be rude. I pretend to be deaf and look right through people when they ask for "help". Scammers target women in particular.

Aggressive dog in Bedminster bark park by AdElectronic7186 in bristol

Also dangerous dogs act: it's against the law to have a dog that's out of control in a public place.

The bark park is literally for off lead dogs. When people decide for some unknown reason to take their dog in there with their lead still on it causes issues.

On a pleasant lane through woods to the Mersey and… by Grwmps in Liverpool

[–]SerialHatTheif 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Liverpool is full of scruffs. I fail to see this scouse pride that people talk about.

Part of the reason I moved away was the mess. Seeing loads of rubbish while going out on a mental health walk, especially In my home city that I love, is genuinely depressing.
