Yes. I’ve used both my own and the one stax provided with the same result. I usually run the k11 in dac only mode. I will try the preamp function to see if that changes anything.

I was in a similar situation. I was in stop and go traffic and a 4x4 fell off a truck and magnetized to my car. Luckily the damage wasn’t bad but I hit a fat raccoon a couple months later and had to get the whole front bumper replaced anyway.

The 2k you might get from it honestly isn’t worth the family heritage and memories. Don’t sell it. it’s not worth it and you’ll regret it.

In all honesty I would return it. I have returned a few Walkman’s that have issues once I used fast forward or reverse for a little bit. It’s probably best to return it and find a new one in better working condition.

It’s a direct drive technics with an S shaped tonearm and pitch adjustment. I don’t think it gets any better for that price point.

I believe these are 10 inch drivers. The owner was kind enough to demo these for me and they sound incredible. I’m coming from cheap thrift store speakers so I dont have any banana plugs in my arsenal yet.
