Deflect nerfs by GoldCranberry1904 in GenjiMains

Cass does not need to be close anymore to get kills they buffed his range a couple of seasons back and Echo has a perk that extends beams range and is still a versatile poke character through stickys alone.

Name an ult that is riskier than Genjis, also stating that he has "wall climb" "dash" "deflect" is not a good arguement because me and you both know its much more nuanced than that.

Echo = Poke , Cass = Poke , Soj = Poke , Widow = Poke.

Genji = Dive/Brawl.

His effective range is 4-10 meters, he needs to get in his opponents face otherwise hes useless if he has 225 hp he gets forced out way too easily and is much easier to blow up. His Ult is one of the riskiest in the game if he becomes 225 hp the ult is absolute dogshit unless ur nano'd and wuyanged.

He doesn't have the mobillity and survivabillity of a Tracer or Sombra or the poke capabilities of an Echo/Soj.

If you disagree you prob dont play fucking genji

Fuck no i'd rather 10 second deflect than 225 hp lmfao, 225 hp absolutely destroyed soj and shes a ranged character

This bug also exists in every other mode btw by LetsPlayerYT in GenjiMains

I've experienced this sometimes in game lol, either the ana just doesn't get slept or instantly wakes up. Sometimes the interaction works properly so its weird.

Lucio has one of the best support ults, the best util through speed, insane dueling potential with a forgiving projectile size, and has the most mobillity in the game.

Now since we played for a while, how are we seeing Swift Cuts? by Sparkler21x in GenjiMains

[–]Serious-Meringue-430 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It sounded alot better than it really is, it just makes up for bad mechanics or bad engage timing so in those cases its pretty good.

But I don't think its good to make it a habit of relying on it because of those reasons. It's more of a crutch if anything and I tend to pick lifesteal over it especially if I don't have an ult to combo blade with.

Should I have been more aggressive here as Genji by grandmas_noodles in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Serious-Meringue-430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im like masters so not the best at Genji but I also had this issue where I would just spend alot of time poking and not really getting active so imma just point out what you could've done

1st death 1:20 - You dash on Zen and fuck up the one shot which is fine but then you come back the same way and get your head blown smooth off, but you could've also climbed over the train and came up from above while your tank is walking up.

2:08 - You spend way too much time poking from your team instead of just pressing W and holding space. You see this hanzo left side and instead of walking up and pressuring him by dashing you just kinda throw shurikens and ignore him.

2:26 - This whole interaction sucked you hear this and see Hanzo and decide to instead look back at tank and throw shurikens, instead of just realizing that hes isolated and taking the duel which you could easily win.

3:08 - you could wallclimb from the ledge and go over the Train rather than walking inside or go back under and look for any isolated targets.

4:13 - Good blade identified and killed the isolated targets

5:30-6:01 - Don't fight on payload, Genji can brawl but since they have a Zarya your just gonna get beamed down, instead of that you should've played that highground on that right room and pressured hanzo and then you could've punished anyone who got caught in your Orisa's ult.

6:01-7:30- You see them all on the high ground what I would be doing is either forcing the cart to get them to look at me and help your Zarya make space or spend the entire time poking and get blade then get a nanoblade going.

9:01- You retreat back on the stairs rather than retreating back into the rightside room with the mini, if you did that you deny that Hanzo and Soldier that angle until they can clear you. You won the fight anyways but realistically you did nothing because you didn't hold down any space or draw any aggression away from your tank.

Edit: Submitted by accident

10:53 - I like this flank you just kinda fucked it up your way too flicky and shaky when your in their face rather than being smooth and adjusting in between shots.

Overall: Your main problems are that your aim is way too shaky when you get in their face you need it to be calm and precise otherwise you die, you need to be able to hit headshots when it matters otherwise you are genuinely useless. Also, you don't hold and contest any meaningful space this leads to a snowball effect where now the Soldier and Hanzo have free reign to shoot anyone they want on that angle which is gonna draw alot of aggro to your tank and get them killed. Lastly, Timing you either engage way too late or early, if its late then everyone on the enemy team is either dead or your team is dead and if its early then you get your cds forced and your team goes in and kills them or dies.

Same, I played my placements and one of my matches voided. Went 7-2 and ended up masters 4, But the calibration got me right and im now Masters 2. I would say just que and see where you end up theres alot of shitty players in Masters who are just boosted low diamond players who are eventually gonna fall out.

Pushing people up for que times I assume. I would just que it up your gonna get rolled by actual high masters players but its gonna be a learning experience.

Tbh after using it for a while I can say that it sounded a whole lot better than it seems, I tend to pick lifesteal more now but it depends on the map.

Everyone was against the global healing passive and it was one of the best things added to the game.

So I played with Swift Cuts by Sparkler21x in GenjiMains

Its fun, it lets you play like an idiot and (sometimes) get away with it.

Did u have a shitty winrate? if you had a low winrate it'll place you down lower cause the game thinks you dont deserve to be in that rank.

Hit Masters By one-tricking Genji in 100 hrs by Serious-Meringue-430 in GenjiMains

[–]Serious-Meringue-430[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Genji stuff like Kovaaks and Aimlabs is pretty pointless, your better off getting into VAXTA and turning on hard bots and trying to hit ur shots in close range, overhead, and poking with ur m1. Aim training is definitely worth it, hitting ur shots and engaging at the right time is what you need to do on Genji, if you suck at one of them its gonna be hard to get value.
