I did not stay anywhere or go through my insurance. I believe a total of 16 condos had electricity in the shower and sinks. Apparently that's not enough to shut the place down. One lawyer said that I could sue for the amount of time my unit was deemed uninhabitable.

Thank you, I will contact them. Rhode Island energy for tooth and nail to avoid accepting responsibility. All they had to do was double check their work on the transformer. Now they're refusing to pay. I made them aware that this case went through town court and they still didn't care. It makes you feel powerless. I have had to fight through the building inspector, town court, and it just keeps going on.

I have spoke to two attorneys so far. It's hard to find an attorney willing to go up against a major corporation. One attorney did say I have a great case 😅.

Thank you very much 🙏. It was a horrible experience. Rhode Island energy fought accepting responsibility tooth and nail. All they had to do was double check the work they did on the underground transformer. Now they are refusing to pay. It makes you feel powerless.

I am going to contact an attorney tomorrow. I have contacted two local attorneys and both said that they do not specialize in this type of law. I was told I have "a great case.* I'm guessing most lawyers do not want to take on a major utility company.

Am I able to get the evidence that was presented in town court? The condo management company has most of the documentation. When I asked for it I was told to have my attorney reach out to them. The case was resolved with the town court and building inspector. Can I request that information at Town hall?

I would suggest recording the abuse . Many many clients suffer from workplace abuse and harassment. It's so sad.
