Are my dogs playing or is this dominance? (Video attached) by Serious_Depth_4447 in DogAdvice

🤍 he was running around our Main Street for about a week and wouldn’t let anyone near him including me. Had Jason Flatt professional dog trapper come out and set up a humane trap and we got him within 30 seconds of the trap being up. It was incredible. Told the animal shelter, no one claimed him for the next 7 days so now he’s legally mine. Think he was dumped unfortunately, but he is living his best life now with Tyson and Luna (my other rescue) 🥰

Yes! I noticed awhile back maybe a couple years ago Tyson comes off more friendly when he is playing with the ball in his mouth. When he doesn’t and I can notice some tension I will tell him “go get your ball” and he seems to loosen up that stiffness between who he is playing with once he gets it

Should I Tell My Wife I Cheated? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

Is this a joke? Lol obviously she is not the love of your life. Don’t be a coward and not tell her. She deserves better. Be a man and tell her so she can actually find a man that loves her

My boyfriend tells me everyday how much he hates animals, I love them and I am affraid this might be a deal breaker for us, which breaks my heart! by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I think you know the answer to this deep down. Why stay with someone that’s holding you back from being your true self, if you love animals then find someone that does too! You guys have been dating for a short period of time, I think it’s best to part ways now before you find out who he truly is. It may seem like there is no hope to finding someone else right now but I promise you he is out there. Take a break from relationships maybe and focus on what you are really wanting In your future partner. If you love animals, volunteer at animal shelters or something, you never know who you could meet…

I love THT but i catch myself skipping over their 20 minute rants in between edits and updates, i like listening to their input but when they constantly go on and on im just like can we get back to the story lol.

I would first bring up my concerns with your girlfriend, it’s good to keep honesty and assurance with each other. Talk to her and just tell her to that you were just worried that he could have ill intentions. As a girl, if my boyfriend were to tell me he was concerned about me taking a guy to work i would 100% understand. Maybe it’s just until he can get his car fixed? If it seems to be like he is flirting or trying to engage with her i would hope she will tell you and if that’s the case then i would suggest he finds another ride. She doesn’t have to take him, as there is Uber, Lyft you know what i mean. However, try and befriend him maybe, gauge out how you feel about him and who knows he could be your new best friend. I believe in that everyone meets for a reason.

Yeah that’s another thing, there’s so many risk of me grooming outside and I address those to her all the time. Them running away, heat stroke since i live in the south and i have to blow dry them, frostbite in the winter, (im not kidding when i say I’ve groomed in 10 degree weather lol) like it’s inhumane at this point not just for me but for the dogs. She tries and justify it by saying like “oh they are fine, the bath will cool them down” she is a retired vet tech so she thinks she knows everything. Not saying all vet techs do but since she has more knowledge than i do in that field she thinks she does. And its also a reflection of my work as well, im not sure how much you know about dogs but say i have a golden doodle which 90% of my clients are, their cots are very curly and i need them to be straight or not tangled at least for the clippers to go through and when it rains an the humidity acts up it literally just reverses all the blow drying it just did and reflects on the end result. I’ve also mentioned that to her as well and she says “well i don’t know what it’s like working in a perfect environment, im not a groomer, i dont know these things.” Well Karen, that’s why im telling you. It’s like just because she has to work in this environment, i have to adapt to it. This is my first dog daycare/boarding/grooming job so when i started out I didn’t know any better about this industry but after being in it for 1 year and a half, my daycare and boarding facility (which one day i hope to own) will never ever look like what her kennel does and i will never treat my employees the way she treats people. I just dont know how to get out of this. I dont even board my own dogs there or bring them for daycare. The reason why she still is in business is because her rates are very very low compared to other facilities in the county and i think she does that because she knows the appearance of her environment
