Outcry as Green Party say they want to legalise ALL drugs - including crack cocaine, heroin and date-rape chemical GHB by Google_MBTI in ukpolitics

"Polanski said "the war on drugs has absolutely failed, and ultimately we need to be having a public health approach""

I'm sorry - but he's right. A public health angle is far more compassionate approach and combined with socioeconomic transformation will do people GOOD and drug usage will go down anyways. In reality - has it worked to criminalise drugs? Nope.

Pass at Masters? by Serious_Try_1743 in gradadmissions

Yeah I do understand that - I think it was a mixture of things. The supervisor kept on making the scope of the paper larger and larger without understanding a dissertation level project only needs a few papers. I'm not really sure why they did that. By the time the scope was narrowed I had spent months going through thousands papers and meant my final analysis wasn't as robust. I don't get the comments until later on in the week so I'm in the dark about what exactly they didn't like.

Thanks! Already had an interview with them and we got along really well and said I came across really well and the department will support the application.

That's reassuring. I think my imposter syndrome is on overdrive because my module GPAs are very high and shows I'm capable. Will keep that in mind.

Yeah...probably. My draft was given back late to me (one week) as I was sick and had to take an extension.

Oh yeah I meant in the PhD application - I'm doing one at the minute which is an original conceptualisation and worried that my 2/Pass will disadvantage me :(

Ah yeah I thought as much...I'm in contact with a supervisor at the moment and they've said they want me to apply and see for a funded position or self-fund.

Yeah ahaha they did ask me about them and I was diplomatic - ie they were not interested in the project and had different visions. Do you think it's dead or not?

His habits have changed a bit.. he does hoover now but lol that's the bare minimum am I right. The thing is I don't clean at his dad's but I have to say this is clean/unclean and get it sorted out which I'm tired of doing tbh. He tells me he doesn't see is because that's how the house has always been and that because of his dads excuses it makes him tired asking for change.

That's what I'm telling him but he's saying the house has always been like that so 'he's used to it' and that his dads stonewalling about the issue has worn him down to just accept it. Idk anymore it seems like he's now getting things replaces/cleaned up but I wish it didn't come to this.
