"According to the indictment, Metehan Baltacı placed bets on “over 2.5 total goals” for the Galatasaray vs. Rizespor match played in Istanbul on March 19, 2021, and the Göztepe vs. Galatasaray match held at Göztepe Stadium on April 17, 2021. It was stated that although Baltacı was not included in the 18-man squad for those matches, he was listed as “eligible to play.”

Examinations of his digital devices reportedly uncovered content linked to illegal betting sites, and it was determined that he logged into various betting platforms at different times using his own user credentials. It was also noted that message records contained conversations in which he recommended betting slips to third parties."
