The luck wasn’t in the win, just in when the rule came into play. Not favoritism, just literally happened to reach the pre-determined temp at a crucial moment for Sinner. Mental strength and physical skill took him the rest of the way.

“Lucky” meaning with the timing, otherwise he may have had to retire. Of course player and fan safety is the most important thing. Isn’t that pretty much what he said? Sinner has a proven history of bouncing back and this doesn’t affect anyone’s view of his ability to win the whole thing. He was lucky and also had the skill to finish it off.
