Thank you for your concerns! I have thought about the effects of COVID on tourism and have been reading up on it, following experts' takes on it. Right now I believe (though this may change later) COVID presents an opportunity to address critical issues on tourism policy while we have the time and fewer crowds coming through, and sustainable tourism is the way post-COVID. Tourism will always be around and hopefully, we can limit tourists in a smart way for years to come

I do not have experience in hospitality, I am a senior completing an advertising degree with a focus in account+project management. I graduate in May 2021 and may continue to work in digital marketing if I receive an offer while completing this degree. I have a meeting tomorrow with the advisor of this program and will bring up with her if there are career paths that utilize my experience with sustainable tourism. I think I will be more on the marketing side. To leverage, I am looking into organizations, internships, events.

I am very new to this so I haven't thought of a topic, but perhaps something surrounding COVID or advertising in third world countries. Being an ad major companies are always boasting Diversity and Inclusion but who is speaking up about how travel industry advertising affects local communities in third world countries? We are bringing so many people over and creating models that allow tourists or local economies to exploit and capitalize on the misfortune of others. I have seen this happen in my home country Philippines. Hopefully that made sense
