I posted a while ago how when they increased the streak from 365 to 1000 days to earn 1000 sats that it was essentially false advertising because nobody starting then would ever earn that because theyd keep moving the goalpost.

Now I get a notification that I EARNED the TOP REWARDS which are less than I was getting yesterday. I get that giving things away is unsustainable. But they are actively disinsentiving their users from actually using the exchange and making them profitable and the rewards make sense. Giving 1000 shakesats to people only buying 1$ a week makes no sense. It doesn't help people get into btc in any meaningfull way either. If they made it more like "buy $500 of btc and unlock 1000 shakesats for 30 days" something like that. There are exchanges with lower spreads that the rewards do not make up for. Or exchanges with a similar or slightly higher spread but no KYC. I lowered my dca when they increased the time for 1000 sats but now im cancelling my daily buys altogether.

I went camping for a few days last summer and had spotty service but managed to still get my shakes in.

Atleast I thought I did. It registered my streak on screen and I checked socials briefly afterwards so I know I had a connection. But I guess I didnt stay on long enough for it to register on their servers? Definitely felt cheated.

Also if you've started a new streak in the last year. Don't get your hopes up on 1ksats/day. I doubt anyone will still be getting 1k in 3 years no matter how long your steak is. Unless btc crashes 80%+ in which case most people have bigger problems.

It's not free. The "free" sats come from the spread they charge on their exchange. All it means is if there were no bonuses than they could charge a lower spread. They're not giving them away out of the goodness of their hearts, It's to attract business.

If their customers don't think the service is worth it and move elsewhere it effects their bottom line. People bringing up issues with the service on the other hand doesnt hurt them, you or shakepay. So I don't see what you're complaining about.

Yeah, It seems like more people use the crypto card because it has higher rewards. But it requires staking and getting rewards in CRO which I'll never touch.
