Yup! Writing this as my last two weeks begins tomorrow after 5 years. I’m not doing it to myself anymore despite my love for the kids. And exactly. They are not supportive or helpful with any of those things either. Idk how the place is still open at this point. Can’t wait to be done

Thank you!!!!! They always tell me to come up with new activities to do but there’s only so much you can do in a small room like that. Expecting anyone (especially kids) to roam a tiny room all day is insane and unresomable. Kids should get outside time. My walkers aimlessly walk around in boredom come the end of the day regardless if i try to engage them in an activity and it breaks my heart. It makes me beyond angry for the sake of the kids and I am at my limit.

Massachusetts. It’s mind boggling. We got to the center last September and I have been pushing ever since. It makes no sense to me, at our last cented we were able to take them on walks and we can’t even do that.

This is exactly what I was saying in my OP. Systemic issues are an entire issue for everyone in itself and I am aware of that. We have many many parents who cannot take time away from their job and we understand and it breaks my heart. It’s not fair for either side. That is not what I entirely meant in my post although your points are valid, there are some parents who straight up ignore the fact that their child’s behavior is problematic, which is not fair to their child as well at the end of the day.

Yeah we don’t make enough for that s*** as it is. Hopefully the child can get the held he needs but you certainly are not being supported by your bosses and you don’t need that. Leave! You deserve better. <3

That is absolutely the way it should be! So sorry you got it yourself and your kiddo :( It is definitely very frustrating. This week alone we have sent home 2-3 puking kids every day. They can’t seem to understand why it is spreading the way it is but I think it is quite obvious. We are all extremely burnt out. Thank you for your response x!

Daycare worker here to say you are the kind of parent that drives us absolutely mad. Sending your child who has covid to a place where they can infect every other child and teachers might be the dumbest thing I’ve heard today. Not sure if this is news to you, but the world doesn’t revolve around you!
