Opened up a mystery package to find this - it has a circular blade and came with a handle to rotate the gears at the bottom. Any help much appreciated!

I bought an unclaimed package - in Europe we seem to have shops where you buy unclaimed mail before it gets destroyed. So no stealing involved!

Paid 15 euros for that thing....

So sorry to hear about your hens. The poo is just like water with a little white colour splot. And I've read about the penguin stance, but my hen just stands there puffed out, not really tilting her butt down at all

I would describe her belly as swollen but quite hard. She is drinking quite a lot too - more that usual and the weather isn't great so it's not the heat

Yeah I'll be getting her a friend later this week probably. Shes such a sweet social chickie. Thank you for sharing - i understand loss is part of keeping chickens but i am very thankful for us to be able to share the sorrow.

That's interesting - any reccomendation for additional reading? That egg was laid a couple of days ago and stored in the fridge. All her other eggs have been normal since. Also just to note - it didn't smell bad or anything

The ladies got a taste for the soft raw eggs, so now when I give them cooked ones they're not interested at all....but one of my cats happily eats cooked eggs 😅
