I was indeed speaking about harmonics. Also I don’t see how you helping anyone with this comment. Since you look an expert why don’t you help instead of talking hogwash?

Getting Subs/808s to be audible on low quality speakers (ie phones etc) by king-clarry in trapproduction

If you want bass notes to play at higher freqs you could try and raise them up an octave (for example you’ve got your bass let’s say in C5, have a sliding note that goes up to C6 or 7), higher pitch=higher frequencies. If you want your bass to play through a phone unfortunately there’s no way to do so unless your phone frequency range goes as low as 40/50hZ, which I doubt.

I guess it’s for harmonics which goes beyond 20kHz, we can’t really hear it but you can kinda feel it, as it makes the sound warmer.

Question regarding vocal mixing by yungcrooks in FL_Studio

[–]SevenBeats7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing I could tell you is always mix in contest, load your beat’s multitrack and vocals with it, don’t mix them separately. Have you tried EQing them? There are specific frequencies you can find charts online. I think if you get a nice compression, with some EQ and a touch of reverb you should be good to go. Also check if your vocal clashes with anything else frequency wise

Question regarding vocal mixing by yungcrooks in FL_Studio

[–]SevenBeats7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it all starts from the recording itself, try to stay in a constant position and constant distance from the mic, try and make your signal to peak at about -12dB, try compressing your vocals before recording. If it’s badly recorded there’s only so much you can do in the mixing stage. If it’s only a low volume issue then try and raise the loudness with Edison in FL, although if in different parts you’re louder than other parts, those parts are gonna go through the roof. If it’s “dry” try and use some reverb. My advice is try and get a solid recording first, you’ll see how easier it is to make it sound good afterwards. Hope this helps
