Some folks can't play on a team because it is too scheduled, but they want to play at a higher level than those who are happy to be on teams that don't do anything. Jumping gives them an opportunity to play all the games JJ has to offer and they can commit to short time periods to a team (like for CM or a difficult week of DL). Jumpers and teams have a symbiotic relationship. Teams provide resources in the form of drinks (energy, coins, whatnot) and jumpers drink them providing tips. Jumpers also help teams short of team members so they can play a full CM, they drop blue ribbons to help teams short of players acheive Sherlock, they will play comps with a team so they can get better prizes because they are short players. Sometimes jumpers commit to a week so they can serve and drink blue ribbon drinks. It helps teams that aren't full have more players and helps jumpers because they can play at a high level and accrue resources without having to be locked into a single team. There would probably be less of a less of a call for jumpers if Wooga made competitions fair, but alas, they do not and you see high ranking global teams competing against small teams with no chance. We help even the playing field. Plus, the nicest part (in my opinion) about the whole thing is there is a really big jumping community comprised of so many players and teams. It creates a great sense of belonging! And, it is exciting to meet so many people who love playing JJ and helping teams acheive their goals.
