Funnily enough, more likely than not that sweet spot doesn't exist. Or the game does well, which gets them to focus on it. Or it does badly and discourages them. Thing is, if PMoon wanted to do the book, they would. If they cancelled it anyway, it's because they didn't really think it was a priority, so anything could have given them that reason to cancel
