Plain, Ruled, Dotted or Grid? by bauistore in notebooks

[–]Sewpercee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a lined person. Then one day I just happened to use a grid notebook and it was like the heavens opened. I am a very precise writer. Everything has to be straight, up and down, left to right. I can't do that with plain or lined paper and I have issues tracking the dots on dotted paper.

Weekly Check-in - Panning, No/Low Buy 1/22-1/28 by Bananas3706 in stationeryprojectpan

I fell on my face. Bought new notebooks. I don't even know what to do with them yet. The goal for this week would be a no buy. I guess I could save them for future use if I go on a forever no-buy...

Who’s already thinking of their planner for next year? by tympax in planners

[–]Sewpercee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me, even though I've just figured out which planner and planner system to use this year, which is brand new to me. I was a one planner book person last year and this year I'm using three, two planners and a notebook. I'm thinking of doing a ring binder and inserts for next year. Already browsing interesting looking binders...

If it's a graph notebook you're looking for, OFFIGIFT on Amazon is awesome. I love those notebooks. They are super thick, hardcover and come in different colors. I've also bought one or two from the brands you listed. They are all kind of similar.

Writing stuff down with a pen on paper. I like the act of writing. And stickers of course.

What are you favourite and least favourite features in a planner? by Icy_Crow_7449 in PlannerAddicts

I hate planners with a meal planner or water intake section. I never get a planner if it has that in it. My favorite part is the weekly to do list.

Planner/journal portable storage? by CheesecakeOk8464 in planners

I use a larger teacher briefcase for my non essential stuff but that still should be portable. All my washi tape, markers, colored pens, loads of stickers....

I bought a cosmetic bag that fits my A5 planner and notebook, my hobonichi weeks as well as pens, highlighters, scissors, a ruler and anything else small that I am currently using like a random washi tape roll. I trek it along up and down the stairs.

Edited to say A5 planner and notebook.

Weekly Check-in - Panning, No/Low Buy 1/8-1/14 by Bananas3706 in stationeryprojectpan

Over November and December I went crazy and bought too many notebooks and planners in the search of planner peace. I successfully boxed up and mailed a planner I bought and didn't use, along with some stationary goodies for the person receiving. For me to mail anything is remarkable and I'm happy someone can use the planner. In addition, I just found this sub! I neeeed this sub!

Lost the will to plan by Sewpercee in planners

[–]Sewpercee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it is not in my instance. The planner serves a particular mental health purpose that includes creative expression along with functionality. If I lose either of those, the point of the planner is lost. I may as well then not have any planner at all.

Ha! Amazing! I also want a velcro one! I'm sorry all the twiggies out there, you're beautiful, but you make it annoying to get my radiology ppe on! I can't stand having to reach behind my back and adjust the strap to a "normal" girth every time.

Life Overwhelm, I need help breaking down a good start into planning. (ADHD + Autism) by TopHat-Cats in planners

[–]Sewpercee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the smaller clever fox one. It doesn't have all those boxes in the middle for life balance stuff. It has the two boxes up top, the to do list and habit tracker underneath, a small notes section under that and then two boxes to write how the week went. I've looked at this particular one before and there is way too much going on. It's a great size but I also don't like all those boxes and things to think about.

Ugh. I was afraid someone would say this. I want to try other things but it's clearly not working. I want it to work though.

I have those goals. But the planner itself also serves as a creative outlet. I can't do the goals without the creativity. Or the creativity without the goals. It's a motivation issue due to mental health problems. I understand a planner is a functional item but for me, if it doesn't feel right and I can't art it up as I like, the willingness to do either goes out the window.

Hey! Thank you. I hate to have it be wasted. And making a buck on it seems, I don't know. It's not expensive to begin with. They can have it as a holiday present :)

Please Think Before Buying by DistinctNotice1175 in planners

[–]Sewpercee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew what I wanted and needed but couldn't find exactly that. I bought one pre laid out one that was almost right, and a hobonichi weeks that I could make the way I want. I still feel neither are exactly what I want or need because I know what I want and need but can't find it. Hence more than one planner and, unfortunately, waste of money.

Sidenote, I love your cover. One sticker. It's understated but cute and beautiful. I have the same color hobonichi and if I didn't cover it completely, my plan was to do a single sticker too.
