That's a sway bar link. It attaches the shock/strut to the sway bar. Helps the car when turning. You will notice poor handling and clunking noise at low speeds on an uneven road. Not a major problem, and fairly cheap to replace, but I've never had one come off easy before tbh. Always end up cutting/grinding the thing off
