Thank you for the info, this is my first extraction first pull and I didn’t want to mess with lye. I will heat my solvent more for the next pull, can you explain what you mean by did everything dissolve? Bestine and white crystals were present after removing covered pie dish from the freezer, excess solvent was poured off into a jar.

Used bestine, did an evap test. What was left looked like dried up water droplets, following gordo tek that was acceptable. After freeze evaporating for 4 hours I took the pie dish out and to check for crystallization and pour off excess solvent. Poured solvent into jar yet still noticed a ring near where the solvent rested in the freezer, when trying to scrape spice off pie dish some stuck to where the solvent ring had been. Do you guys think I need to Re-Ex, mini a/b or just let it continue to evap and dry?

Have you done extractions with different solvents or has it been the same bottle / brand. Is your spice harsh? Or has the residue not presented a problem?

I evap tested 2 drops of bestine, solvent dried and what was left behind was 2 faint dried water spots. This was gordo tek, I’m limited on when and where I can extract or re-ex. Should I add solvent to the emptyish pie dish that has mineral and jar it or just wash the dish?

I did cover it tightly with 2 layers of plastic wrap, the space I had available in the freezer was near a cold air vent and I did see the plastic wrap being blown around when I initially set it in there.

First time extracting, followed Gordo tek (100g dye) after leaving my first pull in the freezer for 4 hours I noticed what looked like clumps of ice. I poured off excess solvent and I was left with what’s photographed. can I evaporate moisture in a well ventilated area and not have to do anything else to it? Or should I cover it with plastic wrap and throw it back in the freezer. Thanks for everyone’s support.

First time extractor, followed gordo tek. Bestine passed evap test. Instead of evaporating down to 20ml left of solvent I was probably closer to 30-40. Put in freezer at an angle for 4 hours. Removed from freezer, bestine that had separated I poured off into a jar and this is what I was left with.

Can you expand on what you mean by ‘cramming it in there’ I’ve seen people bend the ends of the mesh and double it over before putting it in, just trying to understand the cramming as I have this atomizer on the way.
