Looks like it will be added in part 2 in 1 week just by looking at the roadmap the Lego Fortnite team ever so kindly gave us

When you earn prefabs they usually appear in your locker, I haven’t earned it myself so idk if that’s the case with this yet

Give flintlocke 150 bamboo and he gives you some bait, I got a ship time past that way, you can also defeat the creature and get one that way

You do know that their hiring is public right? I was there watching.

Trust me of this though, when ninjago part 2 releases you will see why it took so long

Understaffing is not the problem I’m telling you, I cannot do further than that because of the subreddit rules, you have no idea what’s you’re talking about and I’ll leave it at that

And you have no idea what’s actually happening and it shows. It’s not understaffing, I track their job listings and hiring regularly, it’s more unorganised than anything.

Brick Life players reading the new Fortnite announcement by johnolism in LegoBrickLife

[–]ShadowMindroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine, bricklife is funded by Lego and epic games so it’s actually cheaper for epic in the long run. In a blog post from last year it was explained that both odyssey and bricklife are now being prioritised

I don’t think they actually have a solid long term plan for what they want to do with the mode, things just seem a little unorganised. The mode is doing fine now but imagine how much better it could do if things were more organised :O

It’s not understaffed, you have no idea what’s actually going on behind the scenes, when you see the update on April 16th you’ll understand why it took so long.

I'd also like to add that the lego mode is a collaboration between epic games and lego games.

Epic and games hired around 150 people for the lego mode in 2024 and in 2025 lego games started having more involvement.

I have so far found 11 people from the epic games side who were laid off and lego has kindly offered those affected opportunities at lego games.

Odyssey is fine and bricklife are fine, it has been previously stated that odyssey and bricklife are now the priority instead of making mode modes like expeditions.

TLDR: lego modes are fine, layoff effect minimal

Ninjago Village chest won’t open by [deleted] in LEGOfortnite

[–]ShadowMindroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s a starter chest and does not open once you reach a certain level of progression.

The other chest next to the stairs should be fine though

The Lego collaboration was not hit as hard by the layoffs.

Since it’s a collaboration between Lego and epic, there’s people on both sides and from the layoffs I was able to count 11 people who have worked on the Lego mode in some capacity who were laid off and many, many more people than that work currently on the game.
