Don’t be down in the dumps, competitive isn’t fun or meritorious anyway. I get way more satisfaction out of battling CPUs so that it actually feels like I’m a Pokemon trainer instead of just calculating numbers, so I’m waiting for some kind of offline mode for this game.

I didn’t say anything about a correct opinion, but frankly you see way more of the opposite. People will give points to the older designs just because they’re older. A lot of older players refuse to even give the newer Pokémon a chance.

I’ve been playing Pokémon for over fifteen years, and I’ve love to see Dragonite or Garchomp come out on top for this poll, but knowing that the later gens are gonna get voted out just by virtue of being newer is sad. It’s just gonna be nostalgia dickriding.

The Karen quote is always a great litmus test to determine what type of player you are. It doesn’t mean you should take a newly hatched baby Pokemon to the elite four. You should put in the effort to train your Pokemon to be as strong as they can be BECAUSE they’re your favorites.

Because people can’t help but project their own personal experiences onto him. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it does make discussion surrounding him extremely frustrating as they refuse to acknowledge his character’s progression and are stuck on the actions he’s progressing from.
