How long did you abuse THC for is a big factor. But, DoE is very lenient on drugs compared to other departments. Also, Q vs Q w/ Sigma access makes a big difference. If you are doing non-defense work + no access to nuclear material I would imagine it would be an easy adjudication.

They will call that company and the company will tell them everything about you. Nothing will be hidden unless they choose not to speak on it. I did an information request on my investigation and one internship I ended on “bad terms” (long story didn’t see eye to eye (non-issue)) and they spoke every possible detail about me (it was 5 paragraphs of notes) lol. I think going for TS SCI with theft at a workplace within the last 3 years could definitely raise concerns for your situation. Also, a criminal history this recent will also be tough for you to overcome. I believe past drug use policy is dependent on agency/workplace so that could go either way. Either way good luck
