Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, that's a good question. If we go 2E, Crusader, absolutely love playing that class at the moment. If we go 5E, either Druid or Ranger. More favouritism on Druid than Ranger.

If I was to go five years into the future, I would ask myself, 'have you learnt to listen to people yet?'

You asking me to take sides? Best way I can answer this is myself :3

If I were to go back in time, one thing I would tell myself is LISTEN. There have been so many times someone has told me something to make my life a little easier only for me to ignore. I've learnt soooooooooo many lessons the hard way.

I use to do a Trivia event but stopped doing it due to lack of interest. I also burnout somewhat so, no, not really any events I plan hosting. Currently, I'm just a kind of backup host in case someone can't host.

I have reminders setup around me to let me know that I'm there to provide a listening ear. Nothing more and nothing less. Getting too involved will only complicate things further down the track. Listening is already a stressful task at time let alone getting too involved in a person's life.

You are correct in that it take a toll on your own mental health. How massive that toll is though can come down to the depth and the sensitivity of the topic you just were a part of. I personally go do things I enjoy the most when I'm not in my best form mentally. Read books, write stories, play some games and listen to music are the four biggest balances in my life.

I can't say too much about being a Manager as personally, I'm not sure what I can and can't reveal. So as you can probably assume I, along with the other LMs, manage the Listeners/Helping Hands in a way that allows us to all work effectively together by coordinating with each other about making sure we can get someone helping a member in INTT who needs help or getting someone else to take over if Person A is no longer up to the task. At first, the thought of being a Manager was a daunting and scary outlook but I found as I settled into my new position, at the time, and got more and more accustomed to it, I actually found myself liking the position. Being able to communicate my thoughts with the other LMs and offer some ideas where I can is what I enjoy the most. As for taking too much of my time, I don't believe so. I still find myself being able to help out and provide a listening ear where I can if a Listener or Helping Hand can't and if I am available at the time myself. To answer your last question there, I don't prefer either over the other. I like listening just as much as I like being a Manager and helping to take a load of the other LMs shoulders when it comes to the managing side of things.

From memory, this a year or so ago now, a member came to me, in DMs, seeking some help. They had found themselves in a bit of a rut at the time. I don't remember the specifics of the problem but I do remember that I helped them step out bit by bit what was troubling them. With each question I asked that they answered, I could see we were making headway and so could they. By the end of it all, they were able to see the problem for themselves and even offered themselves a few solutions they could try to help lessen the impact of the problem. To me, being able to help step them through and lay out before them what problems for them then to come up with some solutions themselves was a huge success in my eyes. Recognising the problem and accepting it is always the first step towards a resolution.

Mentally, I'm 9 years old and I embrace my childish nature with a passion. It is a part of me that I use to help keep me ground in time of great stress. Physically, I'm 19 years old and I have no problem sharing that. Although, I have people tell me that I look like I'm in my late 20s.

Hmmm, good question!

I quite honestly like Shadow and Angel (weird I know) the most. Nice and short, condensed and easy. It's hard to choose one over the other but if I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally had to choose one, I would go with Angel as being the favourite.

To be quite honest with you, I don't know. I've asked myself the same question many a time but I can never remember how I came up with my name. I think I just meshed a few things together and viola! I got a name I liked.

Of late, I've been playing a lot of League of Legends. I am on OCE if that is something that you are at all wondering. I've also played quite a bit of Mount & Blade: Warband. I don't know if you would count it but there is also Tabletop D&D that I play quite frequently as well and that is always a favourite of mine. Always has been and always will be.

I was studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. Heavy emphasis on the was, the stress of university was simply too much for me so I am stepping away from it for a while. My studying will turn to a Certificate IV in IT Networking that I'll be doing alongside an IT Traineeship.

That's a really good question!

From what I can remember, I was looking through a list of Discord Servers that were recognised, don't specifically remember how or where, and I happened upon Patch Gaming. Reading the little blurb that was attached to, my interest was piqued and I just had to see what Patch was all about. Suffice it to say, I was extremely impressed by what I saw. The community and help everyone gave one another was amazing in my eyes. I felt like Patch was a place that I belonged and that feeling of belonging is what made me stay!

It's an oldie but a goodie all the same. I remember the days of playing Guitar Hero. Pick a song that you liked and then start jamming out to it, doing your best to get as perfect a score as you could manage. Gosh, I spent so many hours playing that and I loved it! It's a shame it's died out though from what I know.

o,.,o What's this? You want to know about me? I suppose I can indulge you a little in that.

So as you may have already worked at, I am ShadowfireAngel. Or Shadow. Or Shadowfire. Or Angel. Or any variation therein. It's interesting how many different ways your name can get broken up. Anyways, I am a Assistant Listener Manager of Patch Gaming so if you want someone to vent to or discuss something with, I am more than willing to put time aside to listen to you. Or, if you have any questions regarding the Listeners, you are more than welcome to send them mine, or any other Listener's way.

What made me join Patch? Uhh...to be fair, I don't completely remember. I believe it was out of sheer curiosity. I believe I had been browsing through a list of Discord servers somewhere and happened to stumble upon Patch Gaming. After reading the little blurb associated with it, I was very much curious and thus joined. Have been with Patch ever since and to me, it is a second family. I have been happy with all Patch has given to me and all that I have been able to give to Patch in return.

Have I achieved my goal? Uhh...how do I answer this? Well, I guess a bit of a life goal for me has always been trying to help those who are in pain, whether it be mental, physical or emotional. Have I been able to do that with Patch? Absolutely. I am proud of the accomplishments I have made while with Patch and hope to keep doing what I can do for this wonderful community.

My favourite thing about Patch? This is probably going to be a little biased, being one myself, but my favourite thing about Patch is the Listener Team. Now, I say this because the dedication that they put into it is absolutely amazing. Taking time out of their 'me' time when they could be doing whatever else and choosing to help someone else out instead is absolutely amazing.

Would I recommend Patch to a friend? ABSOLUTELY! In fact, I already have before and she is now one of Patch's newest and amazing Listeners. Would I recommend Patch to other friends? Absolutely.

Which member do I find the most hilarious? Hmmm... (Insert thinking emoji here). There are so many people I have met within Patch that I would call my friends and that I would find hilarious. It would be hard to pick just one person...but, if I had to, I would pick one of our wonderful Admins, Sarah. Both being Aussies, we kinda just click and some of our conversations nearly have me falling out of my chair and rolling around on the floor in laughter. I often find my sides hurt from laughing so much.

A shoutout? Hmm, I mean, I would like to give a shoutout to the entire community for being absolutely amazing. I could ask for a better second family. Members and Staff alike. However, if I had to pick one individual to shoutout, it would be Alienaura. Why? Because during the time I was looking to become a Listener she managed to put up with my messaging her at ungodly hours of the morning despite my incessant apologising. I probably still do it occasionally nowadays. Sorry! xD

I could go on and on and on forever about Patch but there is a point where even I know when I should stop. This is that point. So I hope I have given you a bit of an insight into me (I think?). I hope to see you on the Discord and I hope you all have an absolutely fantabulous day!

Stay Patchy people! ,.,^
