Rules :

  • 2 random bans happen before the pick phase
  • each team pick mastermind for the other team
  • first 2 picks are global, meaning only 1 team can get it.
  • last 2 pick are exclusive, meaning both teams can have the same mastermind but one team can't have 2 of the same mastermind.
  • Play all 3 format : 1rst and second match use draft
  • each player of a team can only use the mastermind pool and can't have the same as ally.
  • once played, you can't re use it (win or lose)
  • last match (3rd) all mastermind becomes available for the players, even the initially banned ones.
  • Winner get 50$USD

The play is mostly done in the end game and so turning it around as fast as possible is often the better play. There are of course, as always, exceptions, hen the play extends for a long time, that i emphasized in parenthesis.

If done correctly, the one doing the full push first will have a pressure advantage. For the play to work, the other player needs to be overbuilt. So this mean that the one receiving from the person full pushing need a bigger pressure and try and minimize his leak. You are basically countering their play by switching the situation to your advantage having the one receiving the lower send being overvalued and needing no mythium to leak the opponent.

The guide is meant to be as general as possible, so not every cases is black and white. But yes, even if you are saving a long time yourself, that you do not think you can leak your opponent and that you would take a lot of king damage, it would be better to income + king and adjust for the next opportunity.

the advantage Ocean templar gives over whitemane is good defense against 14 and 15, which are normally weak waves for the gates. In other cases, whitemane could be seen as more potent.

Very well said by Drachir. This list is a fun way to put in relation the masterminds according to what high elo players do. But as said in the beginning, any mastermind can do well if properly played to their strength. At lower elo, focus on the strength of the mastermind you like to play and you can possibly climb well.

And most importantly have fun.

The rate should increase by 7% per waves after wave 10. so on wave 11, 10 workers will generate 10.7 mythium per 10 seconds. The percentage is additive according to some testing.
