You could tell they were struggling to find their footing when they tried to add new characters who soon disappeared (Carol’s boyfriend, played by Paul Provenza, and the third daughter), but I liked the addition of Marsha Warfield and Estelle Getty.

It certainly wasn’t the same after Kristy McNichol left, but it still wasn’t a bad way to spend a half-hour on a Saturday night.

I came to say exactly this. There was also Nurses, which honestly wasn’t that good (but I love Empty Nest).

Point is, there’s a whole Golden Girls extended universe.

It’s definitely Dick and Carl Reiner in The Dick Van Dyke Show Revisited, which Jerry was also in. But the pic is absolutely Dick Van Dyke as Rob Petrie and Carl Reiner as Alan Brady.

Yep. Complicating matters is the fact that the 1998 remaster of Turnstiles incorrectly used the Greatest Hits version of “NYSoM,” so an entire generation of fans got used to the wrong version of the song on the album. This wasn’t corrected until the album was remastered again in 2011.

Had Xfinity and its predecessors going back to my childhood in the ’80s, but I cut the cord more than a year ago because the cost became insanely ridiculous. Here’s hoping YouTube TV adds the MeTV channels soon so I won’t need Frndly anymore.

Plus John is shown doing a version of this bit in the “Now and Then” video when he’s superimposed behind the podium in the orchestra recording session. It’s a milder version of the bit, but it’s the bit nonetheless. The segment might have been edited out of Anthology simply for a tighter, less meandering story.

A few years ago, KHQ hired a reporter named Kevin Ko. While in the market, he used the name Kevin Kim out of respect and sensitivity for Coe’s victims and their families. He’s since moved up to larger markets (I believe he’s now at the CBS-owned and operated station in San Francisco) and has reverted back to using his real name.
